Dog Attacks: San Diego Second Most Dangerous for Postal Workers

According to the list of the top 25 cities published by the U.S. Postal Service in May 2012, San Diego, CA ranks as the No. 2 city in the nation for dog attacks on postal workers. San Diego's No. 2 ranking of the top 25 cities for U.S.P.S. to letter carriers was topped by Los Angeles, CA in the No. 1 spot.

For the second year in a row, San Diego ranked the number two city for postal worker dog bites. In 2010 San Diego ranked second city in the nation for the most dog bites on postal workers. According to the U.S. Postal Service, there were 45 dog bites on postal workers countywide and 5,669 dog bites suffered by postal workers nationwide. San Diego maintained its number two spot for city suffering the most postal worker dog attacks with at least 68 suffered countywide and 5,600 postal employees injured nationwide.
